We look to inspire and encourage individuality and creativity in every young person to support them grow in confidence. Based in Teesside, we offer a choice of term time courses in filmmaking, animation and acting for film and TV. We also run fun holiday clubs.

Inspire
Improv 4 Film & TV Academy, inspire and encourage young students in their chosen disciplines through the delivery of fun workshops. Our courses are offered to students aged 8-21 years in age grouped studios. We have venues across the Tees Valley, Yarm, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Nunthorpe and surrounds. We also work closely with local schools across the region.

A team of tutors full of film industry experience
We are based in Teesside. We have award winning actors, writers, directors and a wealth of film industry experience and expertise in our team of tutors, all ready to share their knowledge and experience in super fun practical term time weekly workshops and school holiday clubs.
Our encouraging and friendly environment allows our members to feel comfortable with their creativity, whilst thriving as they learn new skills through project based learning and the making of new friendships as our members work together as a team.
All our workshops, courses and holiday clubs are of high quality and aimed to ignite imagination. The wellbeing of all our students is of priority. All our instructors have been thoroughly vetted and are DBS enhanced checked.
We are Ofsted approved and can accept payment by child care vouchers.
We offer free trials at all of our weekly workshops.
Improv 4 TV Acting Academy
Term time weekly workshops of 2 hours each in duration. We run 3 terms each year of ten weeks during Spring, Summer and Autumn term.
We provide training for all our members in all aspects of television, film, radio and stage acting*.
Our students will work on character development, breaking down scripts, scene building, mapping, blocking, beats, actions, improvisation, audition techniques, self tapes and more.
*Whilst we cover some stage work, we differ from traditional drama studios as our focus is on acting for the screen - film and television. We look at realism and naturalism, developing and supporting individual talent.

The Improv 4 Filmmakers Lab
For students interested in the filmmaking process - how to make films and movies, our Filmmakers Lab delivers a fun filmmaking club and learning through practical hands on workshops and projects.
Term time weekly workshops of 2 hours each in duration. We run 3 terms each year of ten weeks during Spring, Summer and Autumn term.
Throughout each term, our club members with their film project leaders will work together as a film crew to make their own film projects and will learn new skills as they work as a team.

Improv 4 Project Animation Studios
Learn all about animation: 2D drawn animation, stop motion, modelling & 3D animation and motion graphics.
Our young animators work in small groups on their own animation projects throughout each ten week term. We run 3 terms: Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Holiday Clubs
We offer a range of activities and clubs during school holidays. Different activities and clubs run throughout the year including Easter, Summer and Halloween (October half term) holidays.
Improv 4 Film & TV Academy
